So Far, So Good. A
few days in and the licence is going very well, there's only been a few
tech problems and they're being gradually sorted out
Music. We've had a
few people come and see us in our office (next to the Gen Sec's in the
Union) and a few email's about the music. Most has been positive and there
have been some suggestions about playlist tracks. So if you want your say
just email insanity@rhbnc.ac.uk
or come and see us. There's also going to be a playlist meeting on Friday
5th at 10am in the Meeting Room. So if you want to hear some of the new
material we've been receiving come along and have a listen.
Student Broadcast Network.
Part of our programming (The Chart, In Session, Pure, Craig and Keni) comes
via satellite from the SBN, they provide
programming which we're just not able to do at Insanity so we hope you're
enjoying their shows. We have regular meetings, in fact the last one was
yesterday, with the SBN and can get
various bits and pieces changed. So if you have an issue with anything
on Insanity we can try and sort it out.

We're finalising
the schedule for the next licence at the moment, if we've interviewed you
then we've probably told you to enter your details into the database. To
do this click here. If we haven't interviewed
you, don't worry, there's still loads of ways to get involved. Go here
to see the options.
There's also
now a search engine on the site, as you can see below...

The website's
been re-designed in preparation for our third FM RSL. Any suggestions about
further improvements can be emailed to Matt - insanity@rhbnc.ac.uk
The Insanity
Music Shop is on-line. Here you can buy any of thousands of CDs, Mini-Discs,
Videos and T-shirts at prices that are cheaper than in the normal shops.
The schedule
for the next licence is being created as we speak. It's too late to do
your own show, but the perfect time to get involved and learn about the
station in time for the permanent AM, which, if everything goes according
to plan, will launch in September of this year. You can join the various
departments at Insanity on-line. Just head over to the join
in page for more information.
We'll be electing
a new board for the radio station at the end of the term. Have a look at
the
board page, find out about the jobs from the people doing them, and
get ready to run for the positions.
The elections
for the position of Station Manager and Assistant Station Manager will
take place on the 3rd and 4th of February along with the Sabbatical and
Orbital positions. |
